Seared U.S. Ribeye Steak

An all-time favorite, this amazing cut of beef is known for its beautiful marbling which makes it juicy, moist, tender, and flavorful.

Ingredients

400 g U.S. beef Ribeye

10 g salt

5 g black pepper

30 g unsalted butter, cubed

½ garlic head, crosswise cut

2 fresh sage sprigs

2 fresh rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  1. Generously season the U.S. ribeye with salt and black pepper.
  2. Sear one side of the steak in a cast iron skillet for 4 minutes on high heat. Flip and sear the other side for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the butter cubes, garlic, sage, and rosemary and baste the ribeye for 1 minute.
  4. Transfer the ribeye steak to a plate and pour all the cooking fat and the herbs on top of it. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.

 

Serve with your favorite potato and vegetable side.
