August bietet der <strong>NATIONAL MARSHMALLOW TOASTING DAY<\/strong> die Gelegenheit, diese Erinnerungen wieder aufleben zu lassen oder sie zum ersten Mal zu erleben. Worum geht es bei diesem ganzen Trubel?   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obwohl Marshmallows Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts von den Amerikanern begeistert \u00fcbernommen wurden, haben sie eine 2.000 Jahre alte Geschichte, die bis zu den \u00c4gyptern zur\u00fcckreicht. Ihr Ursprung war der s\u00fc\u00dfe Saft aus der Wurzel der Malvenpflanze, die in S\u00fcmpfen w\u00e4chst, daher der Name. Moderne Marshmallows sind nat\u00fcrlich ebenso s\u00fc\u00df und weich aufgrund der Mischung aus Zucker mit Wasser, Eiwei\u00df und Gelatine, die am Ende mit Maisst\u00e4rke \u00fcberzogen wird. Im Folgenden geben wir Ihnen ein Rezept zum Ausprobieren!   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diese s\u00fc\u00dfen, fluffigen kleinen Wolken namens <strong>Marshmallows<\/strong> gelten nicht mehr als Delikatessen der \u00e4gyptischen G\u00f6tter und Pharaonen, sondern sind zu einer \u00e4u\u00dferst beliebten amerikanischen Spezialit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Campingausfl\u00fcge, Sommertreffen, Lagerfeuer und Sommerdesserts geworden. Wir finden sie haupts\u00e4chlich bei Picknicks und Grillpartys, wo wir im Freien essen und sie normalerweise r\u00f6sten oder schmelzen, aber sie sind auch eine gute Wahl zum Mischen mit Schokolade. Es ist jedoch gut zu bedenken, dass diese scheinbar harmlosen und fettfreien kleinen Puffer aufgrund ihres Zuckergehalts sehr kalorienreich sind und 318 Kalorien pro 100 Gramm enthalten. Sie gibt es auch in vielen Varianten, darunter unter anderem solche Kuriosit\u00e4ten wie <em>Speck<\/em>-Marshmallows, <em>Vanille<\/em>-Marshmallows, <em>Schokoladen<\/em>-Marshmallows, <em>marmorierte<\/em> Marshmallows, Marshmallow-Frankenstein-K\u00f6pfe, <em>Pfefferminz<\/em>-Marshmallows, <em>K\u00fcrbisgew\u00fcrz<\/em>-Marshmallows und viele mehr!    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obwohl der Marshmallow scheinbar harmlos und sogar frivol ist, steht er in der amerikanischen Psyche aufgrund des von dem Stanford-Professor Walter Mischel um 1970 entwickelten Tests zur Messung aufgeschobener Bed\u00fcrfnisbefriedigung inzwischen f\u00fcr Eigenschaften wie Willenskraft, Durchhalteverm\u00f6gen und Versuchung. Das Experiment, treffend \u201e<strong>Stanford Marshmallow Experiment<\/strong>\u201c genannt, ma\u00df die Selbstkontrolle eines Kindes, indem man ihm einen Marshmallow anbot, den es sofort essen konnte, oder zwei Marshmallows, wenn es etwa 15 Minuten warten konnte. Das Experiment wurde sehr bekannt, als die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die geduldigeren Kinder sp\u00e4ter im Leben erfolgreicher waren.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schlie\u00dflich besitzt der Marshmallow die inh\u00e4renten Qualit\u00e4ten aller guten Picknick-Lebensmittel, die frisch bleiben und sich leicht mit den Fingern essen lassen m\u00fcssen, entweder kalt oder ger\u00f6stet.
