On May 22, the “Taste of America” seminar will provide Czech buyers, restaurant managers and specialized press the opportunity to tantalize their taste-buds with U.S. high quality beef, fish and seafood, sweet potatoes, cranberries, nuts and desserts, wine, beer, chips and dips.

The Agricultural Office, American Embassy in Prague, has organized the event at the Culinary School in Prague.  Agricultural Attaché Michael Henney will present U.S. chef Steven Trumpfheller, who will perform a culinary demonstration with the above referenced U.S. products.

The 100-150 guests expected will comprise of local chefs, hotel and restaurant owners, food and beverage managers, caterers, retail buyers, and journalists from gastronomy press.  Representatives of the U.S. beef industry will be on hand to identify sources of U.S. beef for the Czech Market while the U.S. chef will demonstrate cooking techniques that best extract the unique flavors of the various cuts presented.  Attendees will learn how to combine Californian wines with traditional American dishes while beer lovers at the event will be able to explore tastes offered by several U.S. microbreweries.

The purpose of the event is to enhance awareness of the high quality U.S. products on the Czech market and to facilitate interaction with current and new customers.
